Littlehampton Hallowe’en market success

The monthly Special Little Things Market, in Evans Garden, certainly took a horrifying Hallowe’en twist as dozens of traders and visitors slipped into fancy dress.

The market, which supports Littlehampton disabilities charity Raydar, saw a wide range of people in a variety of frightening get-ups take part.

From zombies, witches and mummies, to gorillas and vampires – every one of the devilish fund-raisers helped to do their bit on the day.

David Bourne, co-owner of indie store Way Out There And Back, based in Evans Garden, said the day was a stunning success – albeit a chilly one.

“It was an excellent day that was enjoyed by plenty of people,” he added.

“It was difficult to gauge how many came to the event because they kept arriving at different times of the day, but it was certainly well attended.”

David added that he was not sure how much the Hallowe’en market had managed to raise for Raydar this time but was confident it would be a worthwhile sum.

In the past, the Special Little Things Market has helped generate hundreds of pounds for the good cause, which provides support for families of young people in the Littlehampton area with disabilities.

Raydar is raising cash to keep its headquarters open.
