Littlehampton welcomes squadron leader on his sponsored ride

LITTLEHAMPTON RAF Association members and supporters gave a welcome boost to Squadron Leader Ady Morris as he cycled through the area on a 700 miles in seven days sponsored ride.

The branch presented a £55 donation to Ady on his arrival at Sainsbury’s, Rustington, for a brief stop on day five of his epic journey. Ady, a liaison officer between RAFA and the RAF for more than a decade, began his ride at Oxford and finished seven days later at High Wycombe, his route following the boundary of RAFA’s south-east area, and taking in Dover, Shoreham, Southampton and Newbury, as well as Rustington. He raised more than £4,000 for the charity which will go towards Miles for Minutes, giving RAF personnel additional telephone minutes while on operations in Afghanistan, to keep in touch with their loved ones, and the Wings Appeal, which provides welfare support for serving and ex-serving RAF personnel.
