Littlehampton's young quizzers don thinking caps this Easter

YOUNG quizzers are being called to on hop into action and explore a Littlehampton park during an Easter quiz.

The Mewsbrook Park Explorer Quiz will be launched earlier today (Thursday, April 3).

Devised by the Mewsbrook Park Community Support Group (MPCSG) and Arun District Council’s parks service, the quiz will encourage children to search through the Green Flag Award-winning park for secret answers on the site’s picturesque natural features.

Youngsters will also be able to enjoy a free tree trail walk through the park.

Councillor Paul Dendle, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for environmental services, said: “Mewsbrook is a lovely park and the quiz is a great way for young people to explore all it has to offer, and to learn more about nature and wildlife as they take in the fresh air. We hope to see a great turn out!”

About 20 pupils from the Rustington Community Primary School’s own school council will be on hand to road-test the trail before the official launch – in return for a free ice-cream, courtesy of Chase Catering, which has a café based in the park.

The quiz has 16 questions that need to be answered. It is the perfect challenge for children of primary school age.

Quiz leaflets are available from the café at the south end of the park. All the answers will be revealed upon the quizzer’s return

The event will run throughout Easter.
