Local school supports Fairtrade Fortnight

DURING Fairtrade fortnight St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School did their bit to help tackle poverty and injustice around the world through fairer trade.

Jack Doherty, Bexhill's town Fairtrade coordinator, kicked off the proceedings with a special assembly.

This was followed over the next two weeks with two 'Big Brew' events, which saw families and friends enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit using only Fairtrade produce.
