Lottery scam warning

A Bognor Regis woman has urged other residents to ignore the latest lottery scam.

Joy Mason, of Arun Road, received a letter which claimed she had won 815,810 euro in the Euro lottery based in Spain.

She had to register for her winnings by making an expensive long-distance phone call to Spain or even travel to the Mediterranean country.

She said she was treating the letter with disdain and wanted to warn everyone else who received it to do the same.

"I seem to get these letters every six months," she said.

"They are total rubbish but someone more gullible might be fooled by one of them. It does happen."
