Love blossoms the second time around

Donald, 61, remarried his ex-wife Helena, 81, last Monday after five proposals.

The couple - divorced in 1990 after 20 years of marriage - live in Hastings, but Helena has been in hospital since she had a hip replacement in September.

The wedding was arranged with the help of staff at the Irvine Unit of Bexhill Hospital where the wedding was held.

The ceremony was a first for the hospital.

It was performed by the registrar and afterwards a service of prayer was conducted by Father Norman Taylor.
