Lucky escape for crash victim
A WOMAN had a lucky escape following a collision between a lorry and a car on the Chitcombe Road on Sunday evening.
Broad Oak firefighters were first on the scene at 7.10pm.
They helped release the woman from her car, which had collided with a wall.
Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to open the driver’s door and firefighters led the woman to safety. Paramedics then treated her at the scene.
All those involved in the collision are thought to have escaped serious injury said the fire service.
