Magic result for fund-raising at Aldingbourne Country Centre

A SEA of excitable children presented their loose change to help Aldingbourne Country Centre.

About 50 youngsters from Magic Minders - Worthing Childminding Association handed over £166.55 to the centre’s operator, the Aldingbourne Trust.

Each child in the association was set the challenge to collect as much loose change from their families and friends as possible.

The trust’s enterprise and development manager Michelle McKinley Bell said: “It’s really exciting to see so many children together at the centre.

“The money was presented by cheque along with a large papier mache money box, which had been decorated by the children and which now stands in pride of place in the shop.”

The children and their minders also enjoyed looking around its open farm and playing on the woodland walk.

The trust last month officially launched its £4m appeal to expand and improve the centre.
