Mammoth spring clean for Robertsbridge and Salehurst

An army of almost 80 volunteers went throughout Robertsbridge and Salehurst clearing litter recently.

The huge litter pick was organised by Sarah Massini, Anne Wells, Sue Prochak and Karen Ripley, who were all impressed with the number of residents who turned out to help.

They said: “Thank you so much to the many people who turned out for the village spring clean.

“You were all absolutely amazing and it is enormously appreciated.

“We shifted bags and bags of litter and other fly-tipped junk.”

The workers were treated to a free barbecue and hot drinks, provided after their hard work by members of the Darvell Community, which was much appreciated.
