Man arrested after Horsham crash

Emergency services were called to a crash in North Street, at the junction with Park Way, at 12.20am.

Police said a 26-year-old man from Rusper was arrested nearby on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene and drink-driving.

He was taken to East Surrey Hospital as a precaution and after being discharged was interviewed by police.

He has been released on police bail until October 22 while enquiries continue.

A 29-year-old woman was also sent as a precaution to hospital and has since been discharged.
