Man arrested on suspicion of murdering Julian Gardner

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of businessman Julian Gardner at Bush Barn Farm, Robertsbridge, in October last year.

Sussex Police, assisted by officers from Kent Police, arrested the 25-year-old suspect in Sandhurst Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, at around 7.30am this morning (Thursday 28 July). He currently remains in custody in Sussex.

Six men appeared before Lewes Crown Court on Friday 24 June in relation to Julian’s death and their trial has been provisionally set for 13 February 2012.

Two of the men, Terrence Bristow, 40, of Chart Road, Great Chart, Ashford, Kent and Marcus Bristow, 31, of Mock Lane, Great Chart, Ashford, Kent, remain in custody charged with manslaughter, burglary of Bush Barn Farm and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The following men have been charged with the same offences but have been released on conditional bail. They are: Lee Delay, 22, of Whitegate Close, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Christopher Leek, 29, of Pear Tree Close, Cranbrook, Kent, and Paul Dunn, 32, of Fryth Crescent, Cranbrook, Kent.

A sixth man, Terrence Dunn, 56, of Tanyards Estate, Sandhurst, Kent, has been bailed after being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of public justice.
