Man dies after paragliding crash

A man injured after crashing his paraglider into farmland has died.

The man, 42, suffered neck and back injuries after plunging 1,000 metres from the sky and into farmland on Barnhorn Road, Bexhill.

Police and ambulance crews attended and the Sussex Police helicopter was used to airlift the man, from Tonbridge, Kent, to Eastbourne District General Hospital.

The crash is being studied by the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB).
