Man found dead at bottom of cliffs at Seaford Head formally identified

A man who was tragically found dead at the bottom of cliffs at Seaford Head has been formally identified by the police.

Officers were called to the cliffs at 1.42pm on Thursday, May 28, following reports of a man in an agitated state near the cliff edge, close to Seaford Head Golf Club.

The man had engaged with members of the public and police officers before falling at around 2.10pm.

His body was found by HM Coastguard and recovered from the foot of cliffs at Seaford Head.

Sussex Police said today (June 10): “The man who died after falling from Seaford Head on Thursday, May 28, has been named as Simonas Visockis, 25, a Lithuanian national who was living in the Kings Lynn area of Norfolk.

“His next-of-kin have been advised. There are no suspicious circumstances and the matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”
