Man found dead on bench in Crawley

The ambulance service said one crew was called to Rusper Road in Ifield around 7.40am today, March 2, to reports a person had been found dead.

A spokesman added: “The person was sadly beyond help and was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Ambulance staff called police to the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are in attendance at the scene and enquiries are ongoing.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and the coroner’s office has been made aware. There are no further details at this time.”
