A MAN was taken to hospital after his car crashed into a tree on Friday (March 26).

It happened on the A284 between Bury Hill and Arundel just after 9.30pm, and the 48-year-old driver was taken to Worthing Hospital on a spinal board.

A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the man had no obvious injuries, and that the hospital visit was a precaution.
