Man needed hospital treatment after Littlehampton seafront attack

A 20-year-old was taken to Worthing Hospital with facial injuries, after he was attacked by a group of men on Beach Green, between 11.30pm and midnight on Saturday.

DC Jamie Carruthers of West Sussex CID said: “This was a nasty assault committed by a group of four men who we believe arrived at the car park outside the Harvester pub in two vehicles.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a blue Vauxhall Meriva and a dark coloured Peugeot in that area.”

A 19-year-old Portsmouth man was suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and released on police bail until August 28.
