Man to appear in court after Dial Post death crash
A MAN is due to appear in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a collision on the A24 at Dial Post on January 15 2010.
Cary Gordon, 49, of Marine Parade, Worthing, is due to appear at Crown Court on Friday October 14, having appeared for a preliminary hearing before Crawley Magistrates Court on July 4.
Christopher John Alderton, 30, of Green Acre, Great Waldingfield, near Sudbury, Suffolk, was killed after his blue Nissan Micra collided with a Renault recovery truck driven by Gordon.
Mr Alderton was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with serious head injuries and later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath, where he remained until he died.
