Maple settles in at Midhurst

She had been abandoned and was living outdoors, filthy dirty and with dietary problems.
But staff at Battersea Dogs Homes put her back on her feet and as this picture taken today (Wednesday, January 13) shows, she is now a picture of health and happiness.

Hide AdThe six year old four legged star of ITV’s Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs’ show was spotted by the Midhurst couple who fell in love with her.
Kate said: “We love her so much and she’s settled down to country life pretty well so far. We take her on two walks a day which she loves and she absolutely adores her squeaky toys.
“We’ve been keeping her active and while she can’t have too many treats, we spoil her with lots of love.”
Maple is a Japanese Akita, originally bred to guard and to track wild animals.
