MEP speaks to 'transition' group

Transition Town Lewes continues to build towards its official launch towards the end of this month (April).

Tonight(April 12) Green MEP Caroline Lucas will speak at a meeting organised at Pelham House (8pm). Lewes MP Norman Baker will also speak.

The launch - which the groups terms an unleashing - will be at 8pm on April 24 at the town hall.

Transition Town Lewes is a 'positive local response to the challenges of climate change and the end of cheap oil'.

The project is supported by the chairman of both the district council, Cllr Marina Pepper, and the Mayor of Lewes, Cllr Merlin Milner.
