Frankie McLean-Brown is staging the fundraiser with the nine-piece Alison and the Earthquakes and their repertoire of northern soul and motown hits from 8pm this Saturday at The Beresford for the Hampshire Asbestos Support and Awareness Group.

This has been a comfort since her husband, David, died in June 2014, aged 69, from mesothelioma caused by his work from the 1960s exposing him to asbestos.

“I don’t think people are aware enough about this awful silent killer,” said Frankie. “I wanted to do what I could to help HASAG.”
