Middleton's £500 grant

Six grants which total £500 have been made by Middleton parish councillors to community groups.

They decided to give 100 to Bognor Regis Neighbourhood Watch, the town's Citizen's Advice Bureau, Sammy Community Transport and Sussex Air Ambulance.

They also voted to donate 50 to Arun Co-ordinated Community Transport and the Samaritans.

Nine requests were received for help through the council's community support scheme. This will continue with the same budget for the forthcoming year, but a review means it could be scrapped from 2010/11.
