Moped rider's condition 'stable'
A 21-YEAR-old moped rider from Lewes suffered serious injuries in an accident in the town centre today.
The man is currently being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where his condition is described as stable.
The accident happened at around 11.25am after the moped collided with a car on Little East Street.
Eastgate Street was closed for two hours while police carried out an investigation of the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact 0845 60 70 999.
