The daughter of a woman who died from ovarian cancer is organising a Mother's Day event on the beach in Eastbourne for people in the same situation.

Sarah Carmody is organising the event in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

It will be held outside the Beach House Cafe, between the Bandstand and the Wish Tower.

People are invited to write a message for their mum on a pebble and make it as colourful as they like. They will need to bring the pebble with them on the day.

Participants can also enjoy a hot drink and cake after the event at the cafe.

Sarah is asking that everyone who take part makes a donation of £2.50 to the charity.
