Motorists' mobile phone madness continues

Police in West Sussex are continuing their 'robust campaign'to target motorists who use a hand-held mobile phoine at the wheel.

They are warning drivers not to become complacent, because police officers are watching them on a daily basis to enforce the plan.

The West Sussex Gazette has carried out its own mini-survey at the Offington Roundabout in Worthing- one of the busiest intersections on the main A27 south coast trunk route.

In a 30 minute spot check we saw four drivers using hand-held phbones, including one man who was driving a heavy goods vehicle.
