Motorists queue up for petrol in Bognor Regis.

There have been queues at petrol pumps across the Bognor Regis area today (March 30).

Panic buying of both diesel and unleaded petrol has caused many stations to run out.

The Esso garage in Felpham Way, Felpham, has run out of both diesel and unleaded.

The On The Run garage in Chichester Road, North Bersted ran out of both diesel and unleaded last night, as did the Esso garage in Nyton Road, Westergate.

There were also queues from 7am at the Tesco petrol station in Shripney Road, with members of staff directing motorists to pumps.

Queues could also be seen at the Shell garage in Fontwell.

Today the union Unite ruled out strike action over Easter, and people have been warned to fill up only if necessary.

Advice for West Sussex motorists on cutting petrol use and costs has been issued by the county council.
