Tonight (Friday) the Mountfield Family Bonfire Night takes place in Solomon’s Lane. The gates open at 6pm and the admission charge is £1 per head. There will be a barbecue, soup and refreshments for sale.

Hopefully the weather will be kind and everybody has a good evening enjoying the firework display etc.

Proceeds go towards the Mountfield Children’s Christmas Party in the village hall on Saturday, December 15,from 4pm to 6pm. The party is a free event for children living in the village/parish of Mountfield (but donations are welcome).

The village hall commitee and local parents organise the party. Primary School age children and below may attend ( 0 - 11 years. ) Teenagers are welcome to help and should register their details as below. To reserve a place(s), please ring or text 07527 598736 and leave details of name(s), age(s) and address of child(ren) plus a parent contact name and telephone number.

Wayne Hardy has sent the latest results in:In darts the B team took a 3-0 lead through Pat Sargent, Luke Hardy and Bob Lovick but the A team hit back to win the remaining 4 games through Kim Hardy, Ian Hardy, Danny O’Connor and Alex Gray to take the honours. In the pairs the A team won the MIxed with Kim Hardy and Alex Gray and the Mens with Ian Hardy and Danny O’Connor; the B team won the ladies through Carole Brown and Rose Pelling.

In the push penny the B team won 4 - 1 through Julian Chandler, Dave Smith, Rose Pelling and Archie Pelling; the lone A team winner being Wayne Hardy.

This week is the Push Penny KO Cup where we are playing each other again at Robertsbridge Club.

Mountfield Lunch Club will be dining out at Leeford Pace on Monday 5th November. Please let Ruby know by tea time on Sunday 4th if you wish to join them and tell her if you require a lift.
