Dance Club meets this evening (Friday) at 7.30pm in the Village Hall for Sequence Dancing.

Badminton Club starts at 8pm in the Pretious Sports Hall.

There is a Rabbit and Cavy Show in the Village Hall on Sunday.

On Monday, we have Creative Writing at 10.30am and Bridge at 2pm in the Jenkins room, and the Budgerigar Society at 7pm. Badminton is in the Pretious Sports Hall at 5.45pm, with Zumba at 8.15pm.

The free bus to Jempsons, leaves Goddens Gill at 9.52am, and the Post Office 9.54am each Tuesday, returning from Jempsons at 11.30am, or the afternoon service calls at 1.49pm, 1.51pm returning at 3.15pm. Line dancing is in the Village Hall at 7.30pm.

Coffee Stop this Wednesday will be hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of the Church Flower Fund. Please drop into the Church Centre between 10am and 12noon and enjoy a cuppa and a chat, with a fine cake stall, books, plants and raffle.

Thursday Seniors Club will be entertained by Kevin as Mr Swing this week, and it’s also the day for the Citizens Advice Bureau. Help with driving members to the group is needed - members arrive between 10-10.30am and leave 2.30-3pm. Please call Ann 252343 or Jane 252973 to find our more about the club or to volunteer. The Lace Group meets in the Jenkins Room at 6.45pm.

Next Friday will be this month’s Coffee Morning Market in the Village Hall – a chance to stock up on all your favourites.

Northiam Football Club is looking for new keen players to join the second team, currently in Division 6 of the East Sussex league. Training will start on the Playing Fields at the end of July, and anyone interested should contact Tony Bishop 01797 252843 (minimum age 16years).

Marie Edwards is taking bookings for Northiam Summer Fair, which will be held on the Playing Fields on Saturday August 11th. Pitches for the Boot Sale or stalls for craft and local organisations are available. Please call Marie on 01797 253264. All stalls are £10 and the Fair will be opened at 11am. (Stalls may set up from 9am, and Boot Pitches from 8am). The Fair will close at 4pm.

And if you’re really looking ahead, how about a Village New Year’s Eve Party? After all the fun we had celebrating the Jubilee, quite a few people have expressed an interest in another party. If you are keen, why not have a word with Mervyn Hayes on the Conservation Society stall at the Summer Fair.
