Seven people enjoyed a delicious lunch at Leeford Place on Monday 14th May. The next time Mountfield Lunch Club dine out will be on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June.

On behalf of the church and hall committees,Julienne would like to thank you for your enthusiasm and support for the village fete. Offers to provide raffle prizes, marquees & gazebos, BBQ food, chocolate for the tombola, books, plants, lots of cakes & winner’s prizes for various events and stalls are still needed.

Also - does anyone know a qualified first aider?

Advance warning, the Riverhall Level Crossing in Eatenden Lane will be closed from 11pm on 2nd June until 6am on 3rd June. I will put a reminder in nearer the time!.

Julitte Dodd teaches Art Classes in Mountfield Village Hall - Portraits on a Tuesday morning ( 10 - 12.30) and will be running a 6 week Summer School - Portraits in Oils from 12th June. Her Mother, Barbara Valentine teaches Watercolours ( Tuesday afternoons 1 - 3.30) Mixed-media ( Wed 10 - 12.30) and Miniature painting ( Wed 1 - 3.30) for the next 7 weeks. Terms start again in September. The classes are aimed at all abilities and total beginners are very welcome, also they are a splendid way to meet other local people in a fun relaxed and entertaining way. Most students come from the surrounding areas, mainly Battle & Robertsbridge, some travel from Kent, Bexhill and Eastbourne.More class information on www.juliettedodd.wordpress.com
