Mountfield village voice - March 23

Three young men wore some colourful accessories ( hats, glasses, and badges ) when they went to Mountfield Men’s Club last Saturday night as it was St.Patrick’s Day.

They also had used face paints to do small maps of Ireland on their faces. Patrick Mulligan also carried an Irish flag. They were a colourful sight and had a nice evening at the club alongside other members.

Thankfully , spring has arrived and Mountfield will soon look really beautiful no doubt with a wonderful display of bluebells and other spring flowers. I was delighted to spot one bluebell flower last Thursday whilst taking Digby for a walk. On Monday of this week, I saw two more in another part of the wood. We are so lucky to live in such a nice place and I’m probably not the only one who particularly appreciates it at this time of the year.
