MP Barker joins the mail debate

THE problems of Bexhill s crumbling postal service is being taken up by the town s MP.

Gregory Barker, MP for Bexhill and Battle, was due to ask questions in the House of Commons this week on the sorry situation emerging in the town over misdirected and lost mail.

He will call for an urgent debate and ask the postmaster general to account for the sloppy service in Bexhill.

Mr Barker said: "It is crucial these issues are addresses now. Because if it is like this in November goodness knows what will happen to the mail in the run up to Christmas."

Last week we told you that mail moans had hit 24 Bexhill Roads.

This week the figure soared to 41 as complaints continue about the town s postal service.

But we have also had letters praising the men and women out in all weathers to bring us our letters.
