Multiple emergency vehicles attend incident in Hailsham

A number of emergency vehicles responded to an incident in Hailsham earlier today.

Two fire engines, an ambulance and police were seen in High Street, Hailsham, at just before midday.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed crews attended the scene following reports of a collision. No-one required further hospital treatment, said a spokesman.

A spokesman for the fire service said: “East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service mobilised two appliances to High Street, Hailsham, at 11.48 this morning.

“They attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision where they assisted one person out of a vehicle, who was left in the care of paramedics.

“Crews left the scene at 12.13.”

Sussex Police said: “Police were called at 11.45am on Tuesday, January 21, to reports of a road traffic collision on Hailsham High street.

“The road was temporarily closed while the incident was attended.

“No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

“Police were stood down at 12.30pm.”
