More than 20 mums turned up with their children for the first Mush meet-up in the area.

Held at Ferring Country Centre, yesterday’s meet-up was organised via the free app service, which connects mums so they can arrange play dates, support each other and put an end to social isolation.

Lucy Leighton Burns, one of the mums who went along, said: “Being a mum can be a tough job and I’m always happy to meet others who are going through the same challenges that I am.

“It’s been nice to chat with the other mums who turned up and the kids have really enjoyed being outside in the sunshine.”

All the mums who registered with Mush for the event will receive ongoing free entry to Ferring Country Centre when they show their app registration.

Lucy Jackson, marketing manager, said: “Mush believes that mums have more fun together and this has never felt more true than at this meet up.

“It’s been so lovely to see so many mums laughing and joking while their children enjoyed Ferring Country Centre and everything it has to offer.”
