Musician from Lower Beeding hits the high notes

A composer from Lower Beeding has won high acclaim for writing the soudtrack for a short audiobook to raise money for the children's charity Tommy's.

Father of five Andrew Stamp has written the soundtrack for The Note by Baptist minister and children’s author Richard Littledale.

A story of hope and never ending love with a strong Christmas message, the six minute creation available to buy on i-Tunes and has been released to wide acclaim in the industry. Kristine Pommert journalist and programme maker said: “Another enchanting tale for children from Richard Littledale, this time with an intriguing musical theme – and an invitation to seek what is elusive in so many lives.

Andrew has composed scores for film, television and video games. He is classically trained in flute performance and composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and enjoyed a successful career as a soloist and orchestral musician before concentrating on composition. Another of his recent creations was on score for the children’s comedy, ‘A Dozen Summers’. Released earlier in 2015 it starred Doctor Who star Colin Baker and Ewen MacIntosh, who has been in television shows including The Office, Casualty.

Proceeds from the sales of The Note audiobook will benefit Tommy’s Charity, which funds research in the causes of miscarriage, still birth and premature birth as well as giving support to parents -to-be in pregnancy.
