After closing the pool firefighters checked the water but found no chemical imbalance.

Mr Camelin said: 'We are opening the pool after being given a clean bill of health by a council environmental health officer.

'After extensive tests he told us there was nothing wrong with the pool and approved of the precautionary measures we had taken.

'He also told us the procedures we take to maintain water quality were correct.'

Independent inspections at the time of the incident revealed that chlorine content of the pool was well below the maximum acceptance level.

As well as mobile homes set in 20 acres of landscaped grounds the park also features the indoor pool, a bubble pool, steam room, solarium and fitness suite.
