Nail tech to take on Guinness World Record
Fern Dolby, 24, of College Road, Ardingly, will be joining 350 fellow nail technicians on Sunday, April 2, to try and set a new world record of 6,078 sets of nails painted in a bid to help nail the woes of mental health.

Hide AdThe 24-year-old works as a nail technician at Richardsons salon in Kemptown, Brighton.
She said: “We are doing the challenge in aid of mental health, 6,078 people lost their lives to suicide last year. The idea behind it is to raise awareness, break the stigma and raise funds for mental health charities.
“I have battled mental health issues for about ten years. It’s an ongoing struggle, so I am so pleased to be taking part in such an amazing event!”

Hide AdThe beauty team will be taking on the Guinness World Record attempt from 10am to 6.30pm at the InterContinental London hotel at The O2 in Greenwich, London, and it will cost £5 for anyone who wishes to come along and watch.
All funds raised at the event will go to a number of mental health charities, Miss Dolby said.
The Guinness World Record attempt was set up by Stephanie Staunton, with an aim to help others after a difficult mental experience herself.

Hide AdAfter handing out flyers and traipsing around shops handing out posters for the last six months, she managed to raise £12,000 to pay for the event.
