Netherfield Charity Horse Ride: The Netherfield Horse Ride took place last weekend 12/13 September and was considered by all to be a resounding success. The counting is still underway of the money raised. Therefore, a full report will be posted in the “Battle Observer” next week.

Call my bluff; On Thursday 10th September, 30 intrepid sleuths joined together at Netherfield Church to try and fathom out who was telling the truth at our long awaited “Call my Bluff” evening. After a splendid sausage, mash and baked bean supper, the action began. The fantastic panel of 3 threw themselves into their performances with great gusto, so much so that the majority of us were completely fooled by them. We were given the definitions of 10 words and if my memory serves me right the winning score was a lowly 4! Rev. Ann-Marie wrote the excellent scripts and chaired the evening and everyone had a great time. Thanks must go to the ladies who provided and cooked the supper, David for setting up the tables in advance, everyone who brought along a raffle prize but mostly the magnificent panel for providing the entertainment. We raised the grand sum of £267.50 by having an evening of fun and fellowship. Thanks also to the party of 4 who travelled all the way from Sandhurst, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to seeing you again.
