Netherfield Church: The Autumn Fair is TOMORROW Saturday October 18, in the church, it will start at 10 am and finish at 12 noon. Stalls will include – produce, books, bric-a-brac, as new goods, paintings, jewellery, cards and much more. All supported by tombola, a raffle and the much needed tea and coffee plus a cake or two. There will also be competitions for the children. This is always a good social event but it also is a fund raiser and as we are running at a considerable loss this year, we do need a boost to our funds so please come along and support us. Netherfield Church Services continue for October as follows: This Sunday October 19 is Holy Communion at Mountfield and Sunday October 26 will be Holy Communion at Netherfield. We are back to the normal pattern with all services at 10 am. In addition, Brightling have Harvest Songs of Praise at 6 pm on the October 19. Paul Smith, Churchwarden.

Good as New Sale plus Jumble: to be held in the village hall at the end of October in aid of AGE UK and Netherfield Village Hall. Please sort through your cupboards and bring any unwanted items into the shop, many thanks for your support.

Hatha Yoga Classes: at Netherfield Village Hall, have started on Monday evenings, 6pm – 7.15pm for Intermediate and 7.30pm – 8.45pm for Beginners, £5 per class. Please bring a cushion and blanket, spaces are limited so please contact Carleen to reserve your place 07592 081432 or [email protected]

Netherfield Stores: Want to stop smoking? We now have E cigarettes and associated supplies for sale.

White Hart Darts Team: On Thursday September 18 the team began playing in the Rother District League. The opening match was against the White Hart Cripps Corner, the darts the team won 6-1, with wins for Debbie, Peter & Coral Giles, Jane Bedden, Chris Saunters & Bob Lovick, unfortunately they lost the ladies doubles, but the men’s pairs and the mixed pairs both won. There was outstanding scoring from Debbie 120.100, Peter Giles 100.100.100, Jane 121.130, Coral 100.132, Chris S 104.133, Bob L 100.125.133. The team won 4 – 1 in The Push Penny league with wins for Bill Beeney, Bob L, Coral, & Jane. On Thursday October 9 the darts team played Senlac losing 6 – 1, the only winner being Peter Giles but in the doubles it was quite a different story, the ladies doubles, mixed doubles and the men’s doubles all won, unfortunately in the Push Penny they lost 4 -1 with the only winner Bob Lovick.

White Hart: On the third Thursday of every month we hold a Quiz night for a local charity all are welcome , there is always a ‘special’ on offer for food.

There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boulez, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boulez Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.
