Rounders Tournament: all villages from Rother are invited to enter a team in this fun event to held at Netherfield Village Hall on Saturday August 30 from 10am to 4 pm, 50p per person.

Table Top Sale: this will be held in September, date to be arranged, and is open to anyone and hopefully there will be tables selling a wide range including poultry, produce, bric-a-brac please call into shop or call 01424 838106 for more information.

Netherfield Church: The final service for Brightling, Mountfield and Netherfield this Sunday August 31 will be Songs of Praise at Brightling. Please note this will start at 6 pm and be followed by drinks in the churchyard. Any requests for readings and hymns for this service may be made to Ann-Marie.

Afternoon Tea: A reminder that on Sunday September 7 we are hosting an “Afternoon Tea with Garden Games” at The Lodge, Netherfield, starting at 3 pm. An afternoon, obviously aimed at raising funds for the church but also to have some fun. Come along and try your hand at croquet, boule, quoits and other games. Whether you are competitive or not – no problem, have some fun and then enjoy a good old cup of tea and a cake or scone. There will also be a raffle and possibly even some prizes! It would be great to see lots of people so make a note of the date, tell your friends and pray for a fine day. Paul Smith, Churchwarden.

White Hart: On the third Thursday of every month we hold a Quiz night for a local charity all are welcome , there is always a ‘special’ on offer for food.

There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boulez, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boulez Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.
