Netherfield

Netherfield Church - With the excitement of our Spring Fair I omitted to report on our Annual Parochial Church Meeting. In fact, other than the routine business, annual reports and thanks to everyone for their sterling work, there are no changes to the PCC members who were elected en-mass. The officers also remain the same for another year, however, it was noted that replacements will be required for 2015 as all will be standing down.

Can anyone shed any light on the damage to the church wall? It was obviously hit by a vehicle overnight on the 28/29 March and every scrap of evidence removed. It was a significant impact pushing a section into the churchyard. The only clue is it was a maroon coloured vehicle. The police and insurers have been informed but any additional information would be of great assistance so please contact me if you know anything.

As I said last week, services for April will depart from the normal schedule because of Easter. This Sunday April 13 is Palm Sunday and will be a Holy Communion at Netherfield. On Friday April 18 there will be a Good Friday Liturgy at noon in Mountfield. Easter Sunday there will be a Holy Communion at Brightling and the final service on Sunday April 27 will be a Holy Communion at Netherfield. Services are at 10 am unless advertised as different. White Hart - There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. White Hart Boules Pitch. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season. The Mobile Library will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10 today, Friday April 11 and on Friday April 25.
