Netherfield Church - A couple of updates this week, our Autumn Fair in the Church, very fully covered in last week’s Observer, actually made even more than I reported - £470 after all the proceeds were in. This is an excellent result so thank you again to everyone. Also, the fallen tree has been cleared up and the church yard is now fully safe for everyone. Thank you to our very obliging neighbours for addressing this so promptly.

Another quiz at the White Hart on Thursday, pretty well attended with six teams taking part. As always, a terrific atmosphere and suitably competitive, with Sean the perfect host and question master. Another boost to church funds of over £120, all good news as we will be spending money shortly on some improvements to the plumbing to prevent the annual freeze up of the last few years.

The final service this month on Sunday October 27 will be a Holy Communion at Netherfield at 10am. Paul Smith, Churchwarden.
