Netherfield village voice

Wednesday August 22 – In order to improve our park facilities we are taking youths to test out the equipment at Robertsbridge Play Park at 11am. Wednesday August 29 – Cooking – Games - 11am to 3pm in the Village Hall. At all events children to be accompanied by an adult.

Netherfield Church – Our Family Service was taken by Father Christopher Channer and the congregation were complimentary on his theme of keeping promises. It was good to have a significant number of people attend as with holidays and the magnificent Olympics capturing our attention, it was feared we would not see many, so to those who came, thank you for taking time to join us. It was also fortunate as we were without an organist, consequently numbers and hearty singing was needed and everyone rose to the challenge.

The remaining services for August are as follows: This Sunday August 12 is a United Holy Communion for Brightling, Mountfield and Netherfield at Brightling; Sunday August 19 is a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Mountfield. The final service on Sunday August 26 is a joint Holy Communion for Mountfield and Netherfield at Netherfield. White Hart - There are various groups meeting throughout the month including Boules, The Rover group, The Harley Davidson group, T.R.Cars and The Breakaway Club, if you would like to know more about any of the dates and times or the darts and football teams please give Sean a ring on 01424 838382. The pieste is free to use, any clubs please feel free to come and use the pieste, FOC any time except match days which are Saturday afternoons throughout the season.  We have a group of ladies and Gents that play amongst themselves Monday Lunchtimes.

THE MOBILE LIBRARY will be outside the shop from 11.50 – 12.10 on Friday’s August 17 & 31.
