New book to inspire parents

His latest work is borne from his experience with his son, who has learning difficulties.

Of Course You Can is named after a favourite phrase of Robin, now 51.

Mr Sichel, of Walton Court, said: “We had to accept the differences in his way of understanding and learning.

“It was challenging but very rewarding because you find a way round the differences. It showed that it’s so important that parents with children with learning difficulties really give them a chance.”

Mr Sichel’s latest book has been praised by a fellow parent of a child with severe learning difficulties, Margaret Petzold, of Ormesby Crescent, Felpham.

She said: “This book is inspirational and informative to a parent starting out on the journey of bringing up a child with learning difficulties.”
