The Marathon village will also feature a preparation and recovery area (2XU Recovery Zone) where runners can chat with training experts, get a massage and visit the shops featuring the very latest in running products.

Tom Naylor, managing director of Grounded Events - which runs the Marathon weekend, said: “Moving the Brighton Marathon Weekend Exhibition to become part of the event village on the beach at Madeira Drive creates the perfect place to come and be inspired before your race and to celebrate with friends and family afterwards. The whole weekend will be a hive of activity for our participants and their supporters. We can’t wait to welcome them to the 2017 Brighton Marathon Weekend there.”

Spectators and supporters can visit the race village and cheer on the runners, watch all the live action across the big screens and grab a bite to eat.
