New guide to South Downs Way

THE 2002 edition of the South Downs Way Accommodation Guide is now available with details of over 200 places to stay within 5km of Britain's first long distance bridleway.

THE 2002 edition of the South Downs Way Accommodation Guide is now available with details of over 200 places to stay within 5km of Britain's first long distance bridleway.

That's more than twice as many entries than the 1998 edition, although the price remains unchanged. The Accommodation Guide is useful reading for anyone planning to walk, cycle or ride the South Downs Way National Trail, as it contains an updated list of all the youth hostels, bed and breakfasts, and campsites along the route as well as other useful contacts.

The new edition also features water troughs on the Way as well as accommodation with cycle stores and stabling or grazing facilities for horses.
