The River Beach Goblins, based at the River Beach Primary School, in York Road, have been provided with a new batch of professional racing helmets by their sponsor Chandlers BMW, in Rustington.

The children all race their homemade kart in the Greenpower Goblins league.

River Beach teacher and team leader, Ben Case explained that the new helmets had given the team a new sense of purpose for the upcoming season.

Mr Case said: “Thanks to the support from Chandlers, the River Beach Goblins look and feel like a professional racing team.

“The children work extremely hard all year ensuring that the cars are built and set up for race events and with these new helmets we can further ensure their total safety, while looking very stylish.”

Last year the team was crowned the best presented at the Greenpower Gathering of Goblins race event, at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The youngsters are now refining their kart for this year’s season.
