New owner of Amberley Castle announced

The castle was among a number of superb hotels whose fate came under the spotlight when its parent company Von Essen went into administration earlier this year.

Now Andrew Brownsword has acquired the property - along with three other luxury establishments - and has promised a major programme of investment in future years.

“I am very proud to be the custodian of these four new hotels which will over the next few years be redirected and refurbished to the highest standards in comfort and hospitality under the Brownsword Hotels umbrella,” Mr Brownsword said.
