New team at Kings Church

Kevin Rose, 50, has come from Church of Christ the King, Brighton, to head up the admin side, aided by administrator Jackie Streeter and facilities manager Tracy Masters.

He said: "I am very excited at the prospect of being involved here as there is such an expectation of growth. With plans being developed which anticipate seeing a 1,000-strong church here on The Ridge, I can see that my team will have their work cut out over the next few years."

Working alongside the full-time staff are five 'Impacters' - youngsters, often on gap years, who give a year of their life to serve the church.

This year's team are former Bexhill College student Stephen Bacon, 19, former care worker Max Redknapp, 20, Joel Baron, 18, from Manchester, Charlene Yates, 20, from East Grinstead and former Battle Abbey student Olivia White, 19.

They learn all aspects of church work and leadership.
