Ninfield School celebrates

THE COMPLETION of a three-and-a-half year refurbishment programme at Ninfield Church of England Primary School was celebrated last Friday.

Villagers, parish councillors, representatives from the county council and MP Greg Barker were invited to tour the school. They could view new interactive white boards and state-of-the-art IT equipment for classrooms. Year two children gave an ice cream demonstration as part of their 'seaside' learning journey project, while guests were played in by children who had recently taken part in a recorder festival. A cream tea was served by the school cookery club.

Acting head teacher Matthew Sandover said: "It was good to see members of the parish council and villagers here. Some of them haven't stepped in to a classroom in 40 or 50 years so it was interesting for them to see how things have changed."
