If you have any unwanted clothes, pairs of shoes, curtains, bed linen, bags, belts or perfume and would like to help raise money for the community of Chitiwiri, please put them in tied bin liners or call at Forge House for green bags. You can leave the bags outside the front door or garage if dry, or alternatively call Sally or Richard 01797 252108 to arrange a convenient time. Sally is also collecting spectacle cases for reading glasses which have been collected to help the teachers at the school in Chitiwiri (not old spectacles, though!).

Plant Sale: One of the highlights of the gardening year is the Horticultural Society’s popular Plant Sale, which will be held in the Village Hall on Saturday 9th May at 2pm. There will be over 1,000 plants including perennials, vegetables and herbs, grown by the experts in the Society and at Great Dixter. If there’s even the tiniest gap in your garden, you will want to go along! Prices are very reasonable, and to make it easier for us, they will be on tables according to price. Can you afford to miss it?
