Parish Council: A significant number of our Parish Councillors will be standing down this year, most after many years’ service. They will be difficult to replace, but I am sure that there are many suitable people out there! To help people to decide whether they would be prepared to stand, there will be an informative Coffee Morning in the Church Hall on Saturday (14th). This is being hosted by the present Parish Council along with the Sussex Association of Local Councils. Please do call in between 10am and 12 noon, either to be fired up to stand, or to get a greater understanding of how our Council works.

Quiz: The Bowls Club will be testing our little grey cells on Saturday evening in the Village Hall. The quiz is 7 for 7.30pm with fish & chip supper.

Mothering Sunday: Sarah White has decided that little bunches of flowers are old hat – this year, St Mary’s is celebrating Mothering Sunday with a Messy Church Special, with activities based around chocolate! So bring the family along at 10.30am on Sunday and make Mum’s Day special!! I think I can confidently say that the chocolate will be shared.

Over 60s: I see in the Parish Magazine that our Over 60s have been going for 66 years! Truly over 60. On Tuesday, they will be settling down to a Beetle Drive in the Village Hall from 2pm, so good, clean fun continues.
